Therapy Oxford

About me

My name is Victoria Waligo and I am a Licensed and fully qualified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practioner and Hypnotherapist for the Oxford Minds Therapy.  I am passionate about making a difference in people’s lives and would like to explore your individual situation through a Free Online Consultation. As a wife, mother, grandmother and professional, I desire to see people rebuild their lives, take control of their circumstances and live more fulfilling lives both privately and publicly.

As an NLP therapist,  I understand how  our nervous system gathers and processes the important information that we get from our five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell, taste and its impact on our behaviour.  With linguistics, I recognise how language and nonverbal systems are coded, ordered and given meaning to describe experiences that influence our daily lives.  I also identify how we run patterns and strategies in our neurology to achieve our specific and desired outcomes in programming. At Oxford Minds Therapy I broadly focus on anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships and addictions.

My experience and passion

Prior to becoming a therapist with Oxford Minds Therapy, I had the opportunity to contribute positively to people’s lives and gained a range of people building skills through my work in Travel & Tourism and as a Senior Lecturer in the UK’s Higher Education sector for over 20 years.

I discovered NLP and hypnotherapy during my search for a career change to a more impactful transformative sector. With the growing need for Mental Health support -especially post-pandemic, the People Building franchise was the perfect partner to enable me develop my therapeutic and people building skills.

At the same time, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2018 and in the stillness of that moment, the diagnosis felt like a shadow had crept in my life, uninvited. It wasn’t just a medical condition, it was a life sentence chipping away at my spirit!  Parkinson’s Disease is still a part of my life but it no longer defines me. It has taught me to confront my past, to embrace my present, and to look forward to the future with hope. In healing my unresolved trauma, I found a strength I never knew I had. And in that strength, I discovered the true meaning of resilience.

My mission is to lead you out of your problematic state with the personal therapeutic support you need whether you are feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, traumatised, relationship challenges or addicted. This exciting journey with Oxford Minds Therapy begins with a FREE online consultation (worth £100) to get to know you first and your circumstances.

Your testimonial will be a building block to this worthy mission.

At a professional membership level I am a member of the ANLP (Association for NLP) and currently undertaking training to become a Hypnotherapist listed on the General Hypnotherapy Register(GHR). I am therefore well equipped to deal with the issues causing you anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges or addiction.
