Therapy Oxford

About me

I’m Victoria Waligo, a licensed NLP Practitioner and Hypnotherapist at Oxford Minds Therapy. I’m passionate about helping people rebuild confidence, restore emotional balance, and live with renewed purpose. Through a focused 30-minute online Discovery Call, we’ll explore your needs and the best next steps for your wellbeing. As a wife, mother, grandmother and professional, I’ll walk alongside you with compassion and understanding as you work toward meaningful change..

As your NLP Therapist, I’ll help you understand how your mind and body work together — how your nervous system processes experiences through the senses and shapes your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

By becoming more aware of your inner patterns — the words you speak, the thoughts you repeat, and the emotions you carry — you can begin to reframe unhelpful responses and create space for calm, clarity, and growth. Using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and gentle hypnotherapy techniques, we’ll work together to release limiting beliefs and restore balance.

For those who wish, faith can be woven into the process, exploring renewal of the mind and deeper peace through spiritual understanding. Whether you prefer a therapeutic or faith-integrated approach, our sessions meet you where you are.

At Oxford Minds Therapy, I support clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and addictions, guiding them toward greater wellbeing, confidence, and purpose — one step at a time.

My experience and passion

Before founding Oxford Minds Therapy, I spent over 20 years in the UK’s Higher Education sector as a Senior Lecturer and worked in Travel & Tourism. These experiences deepened my understanding of human behaviour and my desire to help people grow beyond their limitations.

My journey into therapy began as a personal calling for transformation. I discovered Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnotherapy as powerful tools for change — blending science, mindset, and compassion to help others experience real breakthroughs. Partnering with People Building Ltd allowed me to refine these skills and respond to the growing need for accessible, holistic mental health support.

In 2018, I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease — a life-altering moment that initially felt like a shadow, yet it became one of my greatest teachers. Through that experience, I learned to embrace vulnerability, cultivate resilience, and find peace in the present moment. This journey fuels my commitment to walk with others through their own seasons of challenge and change.

My mission is simple: to help you move from struggle to strength. Whether you’re facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or addiction, our work together begins with a 30-minute online Discovery Call — a safe, focused space to explore your needs and next steps toward healing and growth.

At a professional level, I am a member of the Association for NLP (ANLP) and the General Hypnotherapy Register (GHR). These credentials ensure you receive professional, compassionate, and effective support throughout your journey.
